Watching
Watching streams, VODs, and clips on Kuldron runs in one of two modes: ad-supported or wallet-funded. Ad-supported enables virality and financially accessible streams; wallet-funded enables high bitrate content.
Ad-supported viewing
Ad-supported viewing plays ads to cover bandwidth, with no charge to the viewer. It applies when you're not signed in, or when your wallet hits zero while watching.
Ad-supported viewing is capped at 720p. Higher resolutions require a positive wallet balance.
See Advertising for details on how ads work.
Wallet-funded viewing
Watching debits your wallet by bandwidth, at a flat rate per gigabyte served. See Rates for the current rate. Actual cost depends on the bitrate of the stream being played; approximate cost per hour: $0.05 at 720p, $0.10 at 1080p, $0.30 at 4K.
Your wallet page in your account shows transaction history for what you've watched.
Chat
Each broadcast has its own chat. Messages are delivered live during a stream. During VOD playback, chat history is replayed in sync with the video.
Type in the chat input and press Enter to send. Messages are limited to 500 characters. If you send too quickly you'll see "Slow down. Too many messages." Wait a moment and try again.
Creators (or their mods) can require a minimum delay between messages (slow mode) or restrict chat to active subscribers (subscriber-only mode).
Creators and channel mods can timeout (temporarily mute) or ban (permanently mute) users from their chat. Channel-level bans don't affect other channels. Report abusive messages from the chat input menu; reports go to channel mods first and to Kuldron for severe violations.
