Tips
A tip is a single payment you send to a creator to show support, charged to your card. The first time you tip, you'll save a card; subsequent tips charge that saved card instantly without leaving the page. You can tip during a live stream, while watching a VOD, or from a creator's channel page when they're offline.
Minimum tip
Tips start at $2.00. Below that, the payment processor's fixed-per-transaction fee leaves the creator with too little of the tip to be worth it.
Card authentication
Some cards require an extra authentication step from your bank (a one-time code, app confirmation, etc.). If that happens, you'll briefly redirect to the payment processor's hosted page to complete the check, then come straight back to the channel.
Refunds
You can refund a tip you sent within three days of the payment, from the wallet page in your account. The full amount goes back to your card, and the creator loses the earnings from it.
After three days a tip is final. Refunds are for genuine mistakes; repeated refunds may restrict your account from tipping and subscribing. If a charge already has a bank dispute open on it, the refund button is off — see Chargebacks.
How much the creator receives
After the payment processing fee and the platform fee, the rest credits the creator's earnings ledger and is paid out separately. The payment processor's fee is typically a small percentage plus a fixed per-transaction amount. See Payouts.
Example: on a $5.00 tip the creator typically receives about $4.50 after both fees. Your dashboard shows the exact split for every tip.
