Counter-notices
If your content came down in error, file a counter-notice. The DMCA requires us to forward your identity to the claimant. If they do not file a court action within 20 calendar days, longer than the 10 to 14 business days the law requires, your content is restored automatically. You are given the exact restore date when you submit.
Strikes
- First strike: 7-day content suspension.
- Second strike: 14-day content suspension.
- Third strike: permanent content ban.
Strikes expire after 90 days, and a successful counter-notice removes the strike it came with. Claims against you, and the state of any counter-notice, are on your account. Enforcement outside copyright works differently: see your account.
