Watching

Streams, VODs and clips all play the same way and are paid for the same way: free within a viewing allowance, or from your wallet.

Free viewing

Watching is free, signed in or out, up to a viewing allowance that refills on its own. When it runs out, playback pauses and says so, and resumes once the allowance refills.

The allowance is measured in data rather than minutes, so the higher the quality you watch, the sooner you reach it. It exists because serving video is expensive and no advertising pays for it. Funding your wallet lifts the limit entirely.

Wallet-funded

Your wallet is debited per gigabyte served, at the rate on Money. Cost tracks the bitrate you actually receive, not the resolution it is labelled with, and two streams at the same resolution can differ several times over. The quality picker shows the measured bitrate of each option, so you can see what you are about to spend: an hour comes to roughly $0.11 at 5 Mbps, $0.23 at 10 Mbps and $0.56 at 25 Mbps. No viewing limit, every debit itemised.

Chat

Every broadcast has its own chat, live while it runs and replayed in sync when you watch the VOD. Messages hold 500 characters, counted identically whatever alphabet you write in. Send too fast and you get Rate limited. Slow down.

Creators and their mods can set slow mode, a minimum delay between one person’s messages, or subscriber-only mode. The composer says which is on, and a refused message says which stopped it. They can also time you out or ban you, both per channel with no effect anywhere else.

To report a message, hover or tap it, choose Report and say what is wrong with it. The channel’s moderators read it first and pass anything breaking the Terms of Service to Kuldron.

VODs

A VOD is a saved broadcast, on the creator’s channel once the stream ends. Whether one is kept comes from the creator’s Save past broadcasts setting as read at the moment the broadcast starts, so turning it off later leaves existing VODs alone. Creators can also set an age limit, after which saved VODs delete themselves.

Otherwise a VOD stays up until the creator deletes it or it is removed under the Terms of Service or the DMCA Policy. Storing them draws on the creator’s wallet.

Clips

A clip is a short segment cut from a live stream or a VOD, usually seconds to a few minutes. Any signed-in viewer can make one without involving the creator, from any broadcast the creator is saving. Every clip gets a public URL that plays for anyone you send it to and can be embedded.

A clip points at its source video rather than copying it, so deleting a VOD deletes every clip cut from it and the confirmation says how many. The creator, the clipper or Kuldron can remove one, and a DMCA notice can target one directly. Clipping runs on the licence in Terms of Service §3 and moves no rights: they stay with the original creator.

There are none. Nothing plays before or during a stream, VOD or clip, no page carries display ads, and embedded players are just the video. Why that is the position is on About.
