A social platform for humans
Live conversation, short posts, threaded discussions, and video each have their own place on Kuldron. Chat rooms host live conversation. Yap is a timeline for short posts and replies. Forums give threaded posts and comments room to develop over time. Channels carry creators’ live streams, premieres, videos, and clips, with chat alongside each broadcast.
Topics are shared categories for forums and chat rooms. Every topic has both a forum and a live room under the same name, and nobody owns the topic itself. In a topic, you choose whose moderation lens to use; another reader can choose differently without either set of moderators owning the room.
Follow a person for what they write, a channel for what it broadcasts, or a topic for the subject itself. Feeds, profiles, friends, and direct messages connect it all. What you create remains yours, and nothing on Kuldron requires exclusivity.
What “for humans” means
Kuldron treats bots that impersonate people, astroturf conversations, or manufacture engagement as abuse, not growth. Useful automation must identify itself. View counts and other audience numbers should reflect genuine human attention, not fraudulent activity.
Kuldron is the product. The people who use it are not. Kuldron intends to earn a profit by making the service more valuable and charging plainly for what it provides, not by collecting and selling personal information or squeezing as much attention as possible from people.
That stance shapes the work: building useful features, continually improving the interface, collecting information to operate, protect, and improve the service rather than to build profiles for sale, and keeping ad networks that track and target people out of the app. It also means building features that help quality work from genuine human creators stand out, and developing ways for those creators to be financially rewarded for the value they bring.
Ownership and motivation
Kuldron LLC is privately owned and operated by me, Spoff. I built Kuldron and intend to keep it independent.
I have spent my career as an engineer, founder, and technical executive. I love developing technology and being of service to people. Kuldron lets me bring the two together by turning what I know and enjoy into something useful for the people who spend their time here.
Kuldron’s operating costs are covered by me and by the revenue it generates, including voluntary Patron support. Kuldron is free for ordinary use within limits that protect the shared service, and charges for resource-intensive media usage. Watching explains the free viewing allowance, and Money publishes every price.
There are no ads on Kuldron. The business is built around value people choose to pay for, not on selling their attention to advertisers.
