Changelog: July 2026 in review

Week of June 29

• Accounts and topics take profile pictures. A crop step opens before anything uploads.
• "Continue with Apple" joins "Continue with Google" on the home, login and registration pages.
• Settings split into Account, Content and Privacy.
• Account deletion is self-service: a confirmation link, then a thirty-day grace period with a restore banner, then erasure.
• A display name is free text of up to twenty-five characters and no longer has to be a variant of your username.
• Browse becomes a topic column with a left picker rail. The same rail backs the channel, topic, forum and message views.
• Posting, replying and tagging require an account and nothing more.
• Post lists show a compact relative age. An author's name opens a preview card.

Week of July 6

• A topic has one address, carrying its posts, its chat, the picker and a header with its picture and counts.
• Forums becomes Topics and Videos becomes Watch.
• Post titles are links. A comment's timestamp is a permalink that renders the comment with its ancestors and a page of replies.
• Deleting your own post keeps the discussion. The post becomes a tombstone, the title and body are erased, and the thread stays open. A copyright removal reads the same way and says which of the two happened.
• Action rows lead with the vote and collapse to icons below 1280 pixels.
• Browse becomes a topic map: bubbles sized by followers and recent views, pulled toward the topics that share their followers.
• Topic and channel headers show followers, views, visits and authors. The counts are identity-free.
• One lens covers a topic's posts and its chat together.
• Channel chat, topic chat and chat on a recorded broadcast become one panel.

Week of July 13

• An account can hold more than one channel. Follows, subscriptions, tips, clips, emotes and chat are per channel.
• Messages arrive everywhere: a dock that follows you as you browse, a full-page inbox, and reply threads.
• A first message from someone you do not know arrives as a request to accept or decline.
• Profiles take a banner, either a still image or a short loop.
• Following splits in two: a channel for its broadcasts, or a person for everything they do.
• Standby and offline slates accept a still image or an animated loop.
• Kuldron can run invite-only.
• Subscribing reuses a saved card. A tip shows a receipt you can find again later.
• A support page opens, and the API reference documents the WebSocket API.

Week of July 20

• The live directory is ranked rather than ordered by start time. New and growing channels sit above the grid.
• A quality floor filters the directory, judged on what a broadcast sustained rather than on what it was configured to send.
• Watch carries Live and On Demand as tabs. On Demand lists videos across every channel.
• Posts and comments can be edited, and each keeps a revision history readers can open.
• Each broadcast carries the retention setting in force when it started. Clips follow the video they came from.
• Refunds are self-service within three days of a charge. Refunding a subscription ends it straight away.
• Chat can run in slow mode or be limited to subscribers.
• Links expand into embeds from providers you allow. Following a link off Kuldron shows a confirmation first.
• Profiles gain a Posts tab, descriptions in markdown, and account age.
• Creators rotate their own stream key.
• Tap targets meet a twenty-four pixel minimum.

Week of July 27

• Notifications arrive for go-live, replies, unread messages, follows, friend requests, subscriptions and tips. Every kind turns on or off on its own.
• Notifications reach a device that does not have Kuldron open, switched on per device. On an iPhone that works once Kuldron is on the Home Screen.
• Do not disturb silences the alerts and keeps collecting the notifications.
• Posts carry images. The composer takes AVIF, PNG, JPEG and WebP, the first image is the cover, and a post can be images alone.
• A link in a post shows a card for the page it points at. Whether the card's picture loads is a setting.
• A conversation can hold more than two people. Who belongs to it is fixed when it starts.
• Messages take reactions.
• You can set yourself online, idle, do not disturb or invisible, with a status of an emoji and a few words.
• The images you have uploaded are listed in one place, with per-image control over who reaches the original. Everyone else sees a copy with camera details removed.
• The miniplayer resizes from any corner and keeps its controls at every size.
• Signed in, Kuldron opens on your feed.
