Topics, posts and Yaps

NewThe title of a topic, its forum or its chat room opens a Switch view menu that moves between the three.

NewYouTube videos play in place. A forum post's featured link, a Yap's link card, and the large preview of a row in an expanded forum listing open YouTube's player on the page. With media expansion set to On demand, the card shows a Play video button first. Set to Off, it stays a link card.

NewYouTube playlist links open YouTube's playlist player wherever video links play, including post bodies, chat and direct messages. A link to one video in a playlist plays that video.

NewMedia expansion settings have a Yaps row that sets how a Yap's video link plays: Automatic, On demand or Off.

ImprovedActivity notifications about Yaps quote the reply, mention or quote. Replies and quotes also show the Yap they answer.

ImprovedOn a Yap reply, a bar names the Yap it answers once that Yap scrolls out of view. Show scrolls back to it.

ImprovedThe account-age badge and the Patron mark appear on Yaps, quote cards and engagement lists for people who have turned them on.

ImprovedClicking an image in a Yap or chat message that holds several opens all of them in one lightbox, starting at the one clicked. ← and → move between them.

ImprovedEmoji show larger while you write forum posts, comments, chat messages and direct messages.

ImprovedA link added in the post or Yap composer shows a placeholder card at its final size, which fills in with the page's title and image.

ImprovedCtrlEnter submits a post, Yap or comment on every platform, including Mac. Submit buttons show the shortcut in a tooltip.

ImprovedNew post puts focus on the topic picker, and f opens Feature a link.

ImprovedStarting a post with p on a forum page fills in that forum.

ImprovedThe All view on a profile's Yaps and Posts tabs lists originals and replies together, newest first, and keeps loading as you scroll. The Media tab loads all of a profile's media.

ImprovedFeeds you build rank Hot with recency and keep loading past the first page.

Decks

NewThree built-in feeds, All, All forums and All Yaps, and a built-in All deck are available to everyone, signed in or not. The All deck sets All forums beside All Yaps and is the deck Decks opens first. Signed-in readers can duplicate any of them to make their own.

NewOn a computer, any widget in a deck can expand to fill the deck. v expands the widget under the pointer, and v or Esc restores the deck.

ImprovedTopic deck widgets are named Discuss, Chat and Watch.

ImprovedOn a phone, a quick flick switches widgets, repeated swipes keep going, and the deck resists past its first and last widget. Sideways scrollers, text fields and the player keep their own gestures. The deck is as tall as the widget on screen.

Chat and messages

NewA topic chat message's menu has Copy link to message. The link opens the room at that message and marks it, and a reply in a thread opens in its thread. Load older messages, Load newer messages and Jump to present move through the history around it.

ImprovedMessage attachments are laid out by count and shape. One attachment shows at its own proportions, and several share a row across the message.

NewA status can be a Kuldron emote. The status picker in the account menu offers every emote you can react with, and the emote shows wherever your status does.

Watching

NewSigned-in viewers can open a live channel's audience from its watching count. Watching lists who is receiving the stream, In chat lists who has the chat open, and Chatted lists who sent a message in the last 15 minutes.

NewEach viewer decides how they appear in audience lists. Privacy settings has In audience lists, set to Anonymous unless you change it: anonymous viewers are counted but not named. The audience panel sets a different choice for one channel. Chat messages always show your name, and friends see what you watch only on channels where you are identified.

ImprovedWhen an encoder stops sending video without disconnecting, the broadcast waits for it to reconnect, as it does after a disconnect. Viewers see the standby slate, and the broadcast resumes when the encoder reconnects.

Your account

ImprovedThe media library is one list. It searches by name, filters by type and by creator media submission, sorts by date, size or name, and switches between grid and list views. Each item shows its creator media listing state. A search still finds a name typed with a letter missing.

ImprovedThe theme follows your device's light or dark setting until you choose one.

ImprovedCharter Patron recognizes a qualifying payment made in the first 365 days of the Patron program.

ImprovedPatronage settings offer two choices for the public Patrons page: List my profile, or List anonymously, which includes you only in the anonymous count. List anonymously is the default.

Developers

ImprovedAPI keys have their own page under Developer. A key can be renamed at any time, each key shows when it was last used, and a new key is shown once, masked until you choose Show, with Copy beside it.

NewAn API key can expire on a date or after a chosen period.

NewAn API key can be frozen when it is created. A frozen key's permissions and expiry never change, and it can still be renamed or revoked.

NewThe API reports what the calling session or key may do.

NewThe API reads a channel's stream, past broadcasts and clips by channel, and serves live audience lists and each viewer's audience choice for a channel.

NewThe API publishes Kuldron's current streaming, viewing and storage rates.

ImprovedSaving an edit to something that changed in the meantime answers 409 with the code edit_conflict.

ImprovedYap objects no longer include the like_count and likes fields.
