Forums

Kuldron has a discussion forum: posts, threaded comments, voting, rich text, and link previews.

It is not one board. A forum is a slug you walk into: nobody creates or owns it, and it is empty until someone posts. Feeds cover All and Home, each sortable by Hot, Top, or New. Forums live under /k.

A post can be crossposted into another forum. The crosspost is its own post with its own score and comment thread, and it previews and links back to the original.

Tags are free-form and community-applied: readers tag posts and comments, and a target surfaces its most-applied tags. Authors can delete their own comments. Forum links unfurl with their own share cards.

Lenses

Moderation is opt-in and viewer-chosen. A lens is a group of moderators you decide to wear.

Every forum and text room can carry many lenses, none authoritative. A switcher lists them with wearer count and age, sorted by popularity, and you wear any subset. Worn lenses stack: an item hidden by any lens you wear is hidden. Wearing nothing is the default, and your own content is never hidden from you.

Lenses are user-created and managed from that switcher. Their moderators act while browsing: hide an item, ban or time out an author for a day or a week, mark a post 18+, pin, or lock a thread. Every action reaches only that lens's wearers. Nothing is a global takedown.

Reports go to Kuldron or to any lens on that forum or room, and each lens has its own reports queue. On a removed item, a "Why hidden?" link names which of the lenses you wear hid it, and why.

Text rooms

Text rooms are chat rooms that stand on their own, independent of any broadcast. Search and browse them by name. A room is a slug you walk into, and entering one creates it.

Rooms live under /r as a two-pane shell: searchable room list on the left, the active room beside it. Messages render channel emotes, and lenses apply here as they do in forums.

Streams that survive a disconnect

Channel settings has a grace window of 0 to 60 minutes for keeping a stream live after a disconnect. Inside that window, an encoder dropping does not end the broadcast: it stays live behind a standby screen, and reconnecting resumes the same broadcast on the same timeline. Live tiles read "Standby" rather than "Live" for the duration. The default is 0 minutes, which ends the broadcast on disconnect.

The standby screen is an optional upload, a 4K AVIF still or short loop up to 50 MB. An offline screen sets what viewers see on a channel that is not broadcasting at all.

The broadcast page reports that you can go live the moment ingest is ready for the connection. Clicking the unmute overlay on the live player unmutes and dismisses it.

Channels and navigation

Watching happens at /channels/{id}. The old user-keyed watch URL redirects there permanently, and links across the site point straight at the channel URL. A user page is the profile: bio, a Channels tab, and Videos and Clips browsing.

Top-level navigation is Clips, Videos, Channels, Rooms, Feeds, and Forums, collapsing into a menu on narrow screens.

Blog

Kuldron has a blog at /blog: static pages with RSS, per-post share cards, and syntax-highlighted code, linked from the homepage footer and the user menu.

Accounts and tooling

Account settings list where you are signed in, one row per session with device, address, and last use. Revoke one, or all of them. Signing out on one device signs out that device only.
