Tips

A card on file is charged in place, and the tip lands without leaving the stream. Cards that require 3D Secure, and accounts with no card on file, go through a hosted checkout page, and the card is saved once that completes, so the tip after that stays on the page.

The minimum tip is $2.00.

Wallet

Adding funds with a saved card stays on the page. Choosing an amount stages it and asks for confirmation — "Charge $5 to your saved card?" — and confirming charges the card and refreshes the balance in place. First-time funding and cards that require 3D Secure still go through the hosted checkout page. Success and failure are both reported next to the button.

Balances always show at least two decimal places.

Streaming

The top rendition is a passthrough of what the encoder sends. AV1 input is copied through at source resolution with no re-encode. H.264 input is re-encoded to AV1 at source resolution, without scaling. Audio is copied on that rendition, so 192k, 256k, and 320k audio reaches viewers intact. The renditions below it use capped-CRF and spend bits only where the content needs them.

Ingest accepts up to 50 Mbps at any resolution. The per-resolution ceilings are gone.

Keyframe enforcement accepts Apple VideoToolbox output. Mac OBS treats a 2-second keyframe interval as a ceiling and emits closer to 1.3 seconds; that is within spec.

The broadcast control panel puts provisioning at usually under 50 seconds.

Playback

Playback starts with sound where the browser allows it. Where it does not, playback starts muted under a "Click to unmute" overlay; clicking anywhere on the overlay restores audio, as does the volume control.

Live playback holds a wider latency window, so it rides out jitter and brief stalls.
