The channel settings page starts and stops broadcasts. Start opens a broadcast and reports where it is as it moves through provisioning, ready, live, and ending. Stop ends it and settles the charge. The page polls for state, so it stays accurate whether or not the broadcast was started from that tab.
A broadcast that stalls, never receives a connection, or loses one is ended for you, and the reason it ended is shown on the page.
Streaming charges
Broadcasting draws on your wallet. Starting requires enough balance to cover the stream, and the balance is drawn down every minute the broadcast runs rather than once at the end. The settings page shows the current rate and the accrued cost while you are live. The final charge lands when the broadcast ends, however it ends.
